Comments: World Atlantic Airlines (Caribbean Sun Airlines dba) (Miami) is a new charter and leasing company awaiting its AOC. The new company has acquired this ex-Alaska Airlines McDonnell Douglas DC-9-83 (MD-83) registered N802WA (msn 53052) as its first airliner. N802WA is pictured at the Miami base in January 2010. The former Fort Lauderdale-based Caribbean Sun was sold on January 13, 2009 to a new group headed by Joseph Fernandez. The newly re-branded airline intends to start operations in mid-2010.
