Comments: Nile Air (Cairo) is the new privately-owned airline in Egypt that will compete with EgyptAir. The carrier has ordered nine A321s with the first due in late 2012. The company will commence operations in November 2009 with two Airbus A320s leased from GECAS. Nile Air is owned by Saudi Arabia's Al-Tayyar Travel Group. The new airline will initially launch flights to Saudi Arabia before beginning services to other Gulf destinations.
